Joshua 1:9, ‘Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Jericho’s Wall fell down flat after Joshua’s army obeyed The Lord’s commands.’
Jericho was a very wicked city in the Land of Canaan or the Promised Land.
They worshiped Lunar deities, and they sacrificed their children, performed beastiality, and they were wicked beyond description. Only one woman and her family turned to God, and then they were saved from destruction.

The Wall around Jericho was 11 feet high and 5 feet wide.

The excavation of the site at Jericho by Kathleen Kenyon revealed evidence of the Biblical account as explained by “ChristianAnswers.Net’.

We know that Joshua’s first victory at Jericho was in total surrender and obedience to almighty God. It was miraculous in every respect, and it was the result of perfect harmony with the will of God and His timing. This battle is a lesson to all those who trust in God. There is no wall, no mountain, no army, no evil that can fight against our omniscient, omnipotent, omni present God of the universe.

We learn in Joshua Chapter 3 that The Ark of The Covenant which was Christ’s Presence went before Joshua and his army. God commanded the children of Israel to “sanctify” themselves because The Lord would do wonders among them.
JOSHUA 3:7 “And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to “MAGNIFY THEE” in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.”

We know that today; our societies are similar to the evil that was in the days of Noah. We also know that God laughs at the enemy’s attempt to destroy Him and His beloved people.

Ps. 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

My prayer for all those that love God and are called according to His glorious purposes.
No weapon formed against you or yours will prosper, and I pray that God will magnify you before your enemies, and I pray that He will fight the battle for you, and He will receive all of the honor and glory in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen and amen.
